Punta Caracol is just outside Puerto Morelos - a pretty relaxing place compared to the hustle and bustle of Cancun. Puerto Morelos is considered to be the gateway to the Mayan Riviera, only 15 minutes from the Cancun Airport - it’s my favorite place to stay when I visit the Yucatan Peninsula. July and August, of course, are hot - but the rest of the year is the perfect temperature with the cool breeze off the ocean.
